Jessica - Daycare/Kennel Manager
Jessica shares the managers position with Sue and has been at Longs Peak Animal Hospital since 2006. She grew up on a farm in
Loveland where her family raised many animals including cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats and even little things like hamsters. Jessica is owned by three cats named Spaz, Zach, and Cheddar (in the photo), and three dogs, Abbie (in the photo), Weiser, and Dazi. Abbie was a certified therapy dog who was recently retired. Weiser has now taken on Abbie's duties as a certified therapy dog. Jessica and Weiser visited elementary schools to work with developmentally challenged children. Jessica enjoys sharing her dogs with other people and helping them work through some of their struggles. Jessica loves working with animals and also fosters dogs continuously for the Western Border Collie Rescue. Her favorite saying is "I'll treat your pet like they were my own."
Sue - Daycare/Kennel Manager
Sue shares the manager's position with Jessica. She joined the staff of Longs Peak Animal Hospital in 2008. She grew up on a farm in Berthoud with horses, goats, dogs, cats, rabbits, geese, ducks, chickens and peacocks! Sue lives in Loveland with her boyfriend, 2 cats (Mishu & Buddha), 2 black labs (Boy & Reese), AND a dog who thinks she's a cat (China the whippet). She has a bachelors degree in Microbiology and was the manager of a greyhound racing & breeding kennel for 9 years prior to coming to Longs Peak Kennel & Daycare. Sue enjoys outdoor activities that include her dogs. Meeting the individual needs of each pet is a priority for her.

Jeff - Daycare/Kennel Assistant
Jeff joined the kennel team in 2008 and is shown with Ringo, his adopted retired racing Greyhound. He was born in
Pennsylvania then moved to
Colorado in 1994. Jeff grew up with all types of animals including goldfish, lizards, cats and dogs. Jeff has enjoyed volunteering at the Longmont Humane Society. He has studied music, sign language, and exercise/kinesiology through
Front Range
Community College and the University of Northern Colorado. When Jeff isn’t playing with all the dogs in daycare he loves music, drumming, rock climbing, and reading.
Melissa - Daycare/Kennel Assistant
Melissa joined the kennel team in July 2008. She has three great kids, Logan, Emma, and Brayden. They are an animal loving family as you can see by the photo. They share their home and their time with a parrot named Pedro, a bunny named Jake and two big dogs named Buddah and Kyra.

Amy - Daycare/Kennel Assistant
Amy joined the kennel team in July 2009. She graduated from Colorado State University in 2008 where she received her bachelor's degree in journalism and sociology. She loves animals and has owned dogs her entire life. Her two dogs, Sara and Elvis (in photo), currently live in
Pueblo with her parents but she goes home often to visit them. Growing up, Amy showed her now 14-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Sara, in 4-H for eight years. In her spare time, Amy enjoys watching movies and spending time with friends and family. She hopes to one day have a Boston Terrier of her own because "they are funny, crazy little dogs."

Alissa- Daycare/Kennel Assistant
Alissa joined the team at Longs Peak Animal Hospital in July of 2011. She was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado and currently lives in Johnstown, Colorado with her parents. She has grown up with animals, mainly dogs, but has had a bearded dragon, hermit crabs, crayfish, and fish for pets too. Her pride and joy is her year and half old Boxer, Chopper, who is with her 24/7. Where ever she is Chopper is too. She is currently in her senior year of high school and graduating in December 2011, and then has hopes of going to school for child psychology. Alissa has attended Front Range Community College for the Animal Technology and Research program. In her spare time she likes watching movies, hanging out with her friends and boyfriend, napping with Chopper, and being outdoors.

Lizzie- Daycare/Kennel Assistant
Lizzie joined the kennel team in October 2011. She grew up in a small town near Minneapolis with an eclectic assortment of cats, dogs, birds, fish, sugar gliders, rodents, hedgehogs and a pheasant! She studied holistic health at Evergreen State College & graduated from Boulder College of Massage Therapy in June 2011. She loves traveling, playing outside, reading, political activism, sewing & camping. Lizzie hopes to continue studying animal massage, neurology and the healing arts. She and her boyfriend live in Longmont with their three kitties Evangeline, Batman (in picture) and Zooey.

Ashleigh- Daycare/Kennel Assistant
Asheligh graduated high school a year early and wants to attend the college of Central Florida for Equine Exercise Physiology and Equine Business Management and hopes to someday help rescue and train horses that would otherwise be sent for slaughter. She grew up with every type of animal and developed a strong love for them early on.
Now she belongs to three cats (Annie, Kirby, and Tucker), a pug (Bubba), a tarantula, and two beloved rabbits (Bunny and Jack). Because of her passion for rabbits, she is hoping to start fostering house rabbits soon. Ashleigh enjoys being outside, reading and watching movies, spending time with horses, spoiling Jack and Bunny, and hanging out with friends.
Caitlin- Daycare/Kennel Assistant
Caitlin grew up in Stillwater, MN but very quickly fell in love with the Colorado Mountains soon after she moved to Fort Collins for school. She has two undergraduate degrees from CSU in Animal Science and Equine Science. She also has a minor in Agricultural business. Caitlin is currently attending CSU in pursuit of a masters in Toxicology. She has two dogs, a Heeler mix named Vedauwoo and a big goofy Weimaraner named Dazee. After graduate school, Caitlin plans on going to vet school and having a career practicing embryology in horses and cattle.
